Frequently Asked Questions

There is no difference between Podiatrists and Chiropodists. The term Chiropody was changed to Podiatry in 1993. Some people still use the name Chiropodist, but the modern name is Podiatrist. Both are equally qualified and offer the same expert care.

All Podiatrists need to comply with UK law so will need to obtain details such as full name, address, date of birth, GP details and next of kin (in case of an emergency). Medical history will be noted, including if the patient is taking any prescribed medications and any experiences of allergies they have had. A letter will also be sent to the patents GP if required.

Please feel rest assured that all records are kept in a safe place and will NOT be sold on for marketing purposes.
