Bunion

Bunion is a painful or nonpainful bony bump that forms on the joint at the base of the big toes, often referred to as hallux valgus.

Causes

Inappropriate footwear
Arthritis
Foot injury
Genetic disorder
Neuromuscular condition (e.g., Cerebral palsy)

Symptoms & Identification

Visible bump on inside of the foot
Callus or corn on affected site
Inflammation
Stiffness
Difficulty walking
